Founder, Momma Data
Polly Palumbo, Ph.D. is a research psychologist, parenting author and child advocate. In 2006, she founded Momma Data to raise awareness and access to evidenced-based parenting news and information. The non-profit organization strives to keep parents informed about the latest science and expert knowledge. Previously, Dr. Palumbo worked in research across the fields of psychology and education, both in academic labs and the private sector. She co-authored research articles published in leading psychology journals, taught psychology and research methods, and worked with at-risk youth. More recently her writing has appeared in popular media including her Momma Data column at Psychology Today. In 2014, the United Nations Foundation named her a Social Good Fellow in recognition of her child advocacy work. She holds a Ph.D. in psychology from Rutgers,The State University of New Jersey and an A.B. in psychology from Duke University.
