Candidates for the Scholars Program must live in the state of New Jersey and be enrolled in the 7th grade when they complete an application. They must have a strong academic record and demonstrate strong academic potential. In addition, families must meet our financial guidelines (see below).
Like all SEEDS programs, the Scholars Program is open to high-achieving, low-income students. Families that are not within the given financial parameters, but believe they qualify for our program may request that New Jersey SEEDS review their application on an individual basis.
All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents residing in the state of New Jersey. (A social security number or alien registration number will be required for verification of citizenship status at the time of application.)
All SEEDS programs are free of charge to participants.
