Resources For The College Search

Summer vacation is the perfect time for rising seniors (and even rising juniors!) to make a dent in learning more about the colleges and universities you would like to apply to in the fall.

You may find these two articles on things to consider when choosing your college helpful:

In your research, don’t forget to take a close look at financial aid and scholarship availability. Or, you can use the following as resources:

  • Fastweb.com –  A one-stop shop for information on scholarships and financial aid, with resources on college search and future careers.
  • Finaid.org – A great site to help find scholarships and other types of financial aid that may be available.

Specific scholarships can also be found through The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, The Gates Millennium Scholars, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the Jackie Robinson Foundation, Nordstrom Scholarship Program, and The Pepisco Global Citizen Scholarship.

And don’t forget to sign up for Guidance’s summer college tour this August! We will visit Princeton University, Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, Swarthmore College and Villanova University. For questions, or for information on any of the above resources, please contact a member of our Guidance department.
