Scholars and Young Scholars spent the second half of their fall semester continuing placement preparation during Saturday classes. Students took the SSAT in December; Young Scholars also took the ISEE.
Classes for both Scholars and Young Scholars resumed on January 12. Students and families also took part in parent meeting to discuss SEEDS’ placement process for selective schools.
This semester, students have a number of special events to look forward to. Scholars will hear from SEEDS alumni through a series of panels, discussing the transition to selective schools and alumni educational journeys. In April, Scholars will visit Morristown Medical Center for Hospital Day, an annual event where students shadow healthcare professionals. Young Scholars will participate in a series of Brown Bag Lunch seminars with SEEDS graduates, discussing a variety of topics. Young Scholars will also take part in the annual arts program through the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey.
