Mrs. Beckmen has been actively involved with New Jersey SEEDS since 2008 with her participation in the Educational Policy and Student Affairs Committee and Friends of SEEDS — a committee of volunteers whose activities support and enhance the social, cultural and academic experiences that SEEDS makes available to its students.
Mrs. Beckmen served in a two-year term as Co-Chair of the Board for BRIDGES Outreach, Inc., which helps the homeless in Lower Manhattan, Newark, and Irvington. She worked in leveraged finance and private equity at Chase Capital from 1992 to 1996 and in the same capacity at The CIT Group from 1996 to 2000. Mrs. Beckmen earned a B.A. in mathematics and chemistry at Duke University and received her M.B.A. from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Passionate about education, Mrs. Beckmen is also a member of the Board of Trustees at The Pingry School, where she has been chair of The Pingry Fund.
