Young Leadership Committee

The NJ SEEDS Young Leadership Committee is a volunteer group of active and engaged young adults in their 20s and 30s representing many fields in the corporate, government, professional, entrepreneurial and academic sectors. The group also includes NJ SEEDS college alumni. The YLC works to expand awareness of NJ SEEDS and provide an opportunity for young professionals to support NJ SEEDS’ mission of educational access for qualified high-achieving students of modest means.

YLC members focus their efforts on three primary goals:

• Leadership development – To engage the next generation of volunteer leadership for NJ SEEDS.
• Relationship building – To foster connections and relationships among NJ SEEDS scholars, alumni, and YLC members, and to provide networking opportunities which are helpful to our alumni.
• Fundraising/Friend-raising – To host an annual social fundraising and friend-raising event for the benefit of NJ SEEDS.

The YLC’s signature event is an annual Casino Night Fundraiser, usually held in October.
