Internships & Summer Opportunities

Overview | Profiles | Placement Schools & CollegesAlumni Services

The NJ SEEDS Internship Program creates opportunities for SEEDS alumni to benefit from hands-on work experience, mentorship opportunities and professional development workshops. Our corporate and nonprofit partnerships have provided access to extraordinary professional, cultural and academic opportunities for our scholars. NJ SEEDS alumni benefit from résumé-writing support, mock interview sessions, fundraising assistance for academic trips, internship and summer resource manuals and an extensive alumni network.

This year, more than 20 SEEDS alumni returned as faculty and interns for our Summer Challenge, YSP Step II/IV, The Boarding Experience, and Leadership Week, helping to guide the next generation of SEEDS scholars.

In addition, many have earned positions with long standing SEEDS partner companies, including seven interns at Panasonic headquarters in Secaucus, two with Coach in New York and five with Atlantic Health Network.

Six alumni traveled to France, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Morocco through the Experiment in International Living, three participated in the Middlebury-Monterey Language Academy; and one scholar was selected to participate in the prestigious Governor’s Academy – Engineering and Technology Program.

Thanks to the generosity of the Alfred J. Speak Foundation, Berlex, and, subsequently, US Bayer Pharmaceuticals, 176 high school alumni have interned at nonprofits across New Jersey since 2005.

Special thanks are due the committed Internship and Summer Opportunity Partners who provide opportunities and open doors for SEEDS graduates.
